We have an opportunity for an Operations Manager with strong leadership experience to join our Industrial and Resources business. Reporting to the Regional Manager and covering the Eastern seaboard states, you will take full financial and operational responsibility for the business overseeing the tendering function ensuring projects are planned, resourced and delivered to a high standard in line with the company systems and financial objectives. 

Lendlease’s Services business is a specialist maintenance and asset management contractor that provides services to the roads, water, telecommunications, power, industrial, remediation and renewable energy sectors. Services is responsible for creating, operating and maintaining public and private infrastructure which services millions of people every day and keeps communities connected and running.

You will also take accountability for the operational execution on our ongoing contracts, proactively identifying and addressing issues relating to the performance of contracts and risks to the business. This will be achieved through the effective and efficient utilisation of a diverse multi-skilled workforce, consisting of both contract and staff employees, to guarantee a safe, reliable work environment and achieve business objectives.

The role will entail a high degree of reporting and as such you will develop, implement and monitor contract business plans and budgets as a significant contributor to the company's overall business plan. You will also be required to manage and play a major role in various contracts that will significantly impact upon the organisation.

You will be a professionally qualified Engineer or have considerable and proven experience working in a similar industrial services role for a self-performing contractor. Candidates who come from a Mechanical trade background who can demonstrate a track record of overseeing the successful delivery of complex E&I and SMP projects for the Petro Chemical sector will also be strongly considered.

You will be technically capable, a strong people and project leader and have a genuine passion for growing a business through fostering client relationships and delivering successful project and contract outcomes.
