Our Dandenong based client is looking for an Logistics Administration Officer to join their growing business in an exciting new opportunity moving forward! This role is responsible for effectively maintaining day to day financial, payroll, administrative, customer service & personnel services.
The role is a Monday - Friday permanent position
The duties of the role include but are not limited to the following:
- Assemble all information required for invoicing and ensure complete and accurate end of period reporting as required
- Ensure financial accruals are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders
- Verification and checks of invoices, dispute resolution with suppliers.
- Ensure onboarding and induction of new hires (permanent and casual) is conducted
- Provide analysis and create reports as requested from time to time by others in business.
- Liaise with a variety of stakeholders as required (incl. purchase orders, invoices)
- Liaise with freight & logistics companies
- Share issues & information in a timely manner with senior management (customers, suppliers, staff & the market etc).
- Support or lead procurement activities for office and related consumables
- Be back up for any roles as required from time to time due to absenteeism or workload
To be successful within this role, you must display competency in or have undertaken the following skills/tasks:
- Year 12 + tertiary education preferred.
- Logistics experience (min 2 years).
- Completed training specific to : IT systems used, administrative procedures used, teamwork, conflict resolution, communication, continual improvement.
- Strong MS Office knowledge, in particular MS Excel
- Strong communication and time management skills
