Senior Clinician - Northern Prevention & Recovery Care (PARC)

  • Full time or Part Time considered - working rotating roster of 7 days, no night shift
  • Based at Northern PARC, Preston
  • Liaise with relevant case managers and programs associated with the residents and to assist the manager for PARC in the development of recovery focussed services as part of an integrated service delivery system, which meets the needs of consumers

Your new team

  • Work with a diverse group of multi-disciplinary clinicians, together with our MHCSS partner in the planning, implementation and evaluation of Recovery-Oriented philosophies of our consumers
  • An opportunity to work with clients with a severe mental illness from diverse backgrounds with complex needs in the Northern Area Mental Health catchment
  • Work alongside Community health and mental health workers, family services and AOD workers and ATSI Outreach services within the Shires of Darebin and Whittlesea

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Provide clinical leadership to the program
  • Assist in assessment and treatment of PARC residents
  • Monitor clinical standards of care and provide support and training to the MHCSS staff
  • Report to the Manager of the Rehabilitation Services and is clinically responsible to the Consultant Psychiatrist
  • Instil the principles of the Recovery-Oriented practice into your practice, to improve their own personal recovery journey
  • This position will be working a rotating roster as part of our clinical uplift, including evening and weekend work.

Your Contribution

  • Qualification and relevant registration as either Social Worker or Occupational Therapist
  • A minimum of 7 years post-qualifying experience in a mental health setting or other related field.
  • Extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability
  • A demonstrated ability to provide advanced clinical interventions 
  • Ability to identify and support quality improvement projects to improve service delivery
