We currently a have rare opportunity where you could do just, with an option be based on the Gold Coast and work from Sanctuary Cove or live on Hayman Island.

Your day to day

InterContinental Hayman Island Resort immerses our team in the wonders of working in five-star luxury and offers amazing career and growth opportunities. As the Recruitment Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of promoting our opportunities and working with our team to ensure we get the right candidates to deliver the InterContinental Life and join our on island community. You will partner closely with our hiring managers and drive the recruitment process.

A unique and dynamic environment, your business as usual will include;

  • Management of job requisitions in our ATS
  • Working across end to end volume recruitment with a focus on advertising, screening and shortlisting candidates
  • Reviewing relevant paperwork and documentation related to the recruitment process for quality, consistency and rigour
  • Advise and coach managers through the recruitment process and around ATS usage and provide support where needed.
  • Identify business and/or process improvements and support the development of tools, guides and resources with regards to Recruitment to support our hiring managers
  • Build productive working relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Build an in-depth understanding of the Island, IHG and the talent profiles being sought by our hiring managers.
  • Use pro-active sourcing strategies including candidate database searches.
  • Build candidate talent pools for both current and future resourcing requirements.
  • Work as needed to support recruitment activities across InterContinental Hayman Island Resort.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will be a true recruitment generalist and will also have the opportunity to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders and grow your exposure to employer branding and talent acquisition activities and projects.

What we need from you

Success in this role will see you have a positive impact on our people, brand and recruitment centre of excellence delivery and will need you to have;

  • Experience in an end-to-end, hands-on, high-volume internal recruitment or recruitment agency position with exposure to the hospitality or retail environment highly desirable.
  • Experience using recruitment management systems/applicant tracking systems, Human Resources Information Systems.
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to managing working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and be able to adjust your style where needed.
  • Be someone who likes autonomy, coupled with a collaborative approach harnessed with resilience, attention to detail and self-motivation.
  • Be outcome and delivery focused and able to work in the grey with shifting priorities
  • Comfortable juggling administration, transaction and relationship focussed tasks

Whilst the role will initially be based in Sanctuary Cove, it may require you to spend significant time on Island, so the ability to travel, sometimes at short notice will be required. Predominantly working Monday to Friday normal business hours, you must also be comfortable with the need to work outside of hours as required to connect with candidates and support hiring managers on a regular basis and hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia.
