Our premium Golf Course is looking for an Assistant Superintendent . In this role, you will assist our Golf Course Superintendent with preparing and maintaining the golf course greens and garden areas. Your role will undertake turf and garden maintenance and landscape construction duties.

About the Role

Live on Hamilton Island and commute 7 minutes by ferry to the Golf Course

Maintain all course fairways, tees, greens, rough and semi rough areas. Renovate any worn and damaged turf

Apply fertilizers as directed by the supervisor, including maintaining a log of application

Assist with course irrigation as directed

Set tee markers and pins on greens daily for play

Maintain oil, fuel and fluid levels for all types of grounds-keeping machinery on a daily basis

Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge

About You

Tertiary qualifications in Turf Management

Open drivers licence

Previous experience in a similar role

Sound knowledge of machinery and equipment related to this industry

A positive attitude and a passion for golf

Good communication and leadership skills
