JOB DESCRIPTION
At Maddocks, Shared Services teams are pivotal to our success, supporting the delivery of outstanding service to our Australian and international clients. Our national Finance team forms a key part of the Shared Services function, and we are looking for an Administration Assistant to work with our Accounts team and provide quality administrative support to the group.
About the role
Based in our Melbourne office, this part time (ideally 4 days per week) 12 month fixed term contract position will see you working closely with our Accounts team to complete a variety of tasks in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Responding to day to day enquiries and providing assistance to the Accounts Clerks;
- Ensure daily processing and payment of creditor invoices;
- To manage appropriate authorisation of creditor invoices and cheques drawn;
- Daily Banking, data entry and archiving relating to accounts payable / receivable / controlled monies;
- Perform daily bank reconciliations; and
- Fill in for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Controlled Monies during periods of annual leave.

About you
To be successful in this position you will be a motivated individual with a passion for numbers and 12 months experience working in a professional services firm. You will also be able to demonstrate:
- Ability to liaise with all internal and external clients, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
- Attention to detail with a high level of numeracy skill.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise work according to urgency.
- Familiarity with or the ability to train in the use of Word and Excel and a computerised practice management system such as Aderant Expert.
Overall, you will be a real team player eager to provide quality support to the Maddocks Finance team.
