Executive Manager – Employee Experience

About the role

Infrastructure delivers and drives key components of the Technology & Transformation’s strategy to support Suncorp’s vision of creating a fully digitised customer platform (or ‘marketplace’) where customers can access our full range of products, services and tools.

The Executive Manager (EM) role transforms, governs and guides the deliverables of the function in line with the strategic direction and business imperatives, always keeping the internal and external customer experience central for intent. This role is responsible for working with all technology providers to deliver the most productive and stable technology environment for Suncorp employees.

The role is accountable for maintaining the availability and security of Suncorp’s end user computing, mobile and collaboration platforms and the associated levels 1-3 support and engineering functions. The role is integral to delivery of the T&T Strategy with Employee Experience platforms underpinning the ability for Suncorp staff and partners to support our customers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Champion of employee technology environment to drive maximum productivity for all Suncorp employees by providing safe and secure end user computing and collaboration platforms and services.
  • Responsible for the Service Desk service and management of provider delivery.
  • Responsible for Executive Support, Smartbars and Event Management.
  • Measurement of Employee technology satisfaction and action plans.
  • Lead and establish a culture of continuous improvement across all T&T and partner teams involved in the delivery of IT services to Employees.
  • First and second level support for all Workplace technology including laptops, mobiles device and AV services.
  • Work with Technology teams to ensure that solutions are delivered with the appropriate levels of technical quality attributes - performance, scalability, availability, security, modifiability, supportability, reusability, sociability, automation.
  • Ensure effective engagement strategies are in place to empower and enable a high-performance team, rotation, retention of talent and delivery in line with our key objectives.
  • Establish effective vendor and partner management strategies, workforce management and overall strategic alignment.
  • Provide thought leadership on market trends and educate T&T around end user service management and technology directions.
  • Provide clarity around strategic direction, key deliverables and expectations including performance, behaviours and timelines in line with our risk appetite.
  • Drive support and confidence in the services and technology solutions across senior management and broader stakeholders.
  • Work closely with other technology divisions to collaborate and leverage resources as required to ensure high quality delivery of business outcomes.
  • Effectively represent the brand of T&T across all employees and demonstrate alignment Suncorp strategic direction.
  • Lead and contribute to the divisional and team culture to ensure appropriate communication, awareness of overall business strategy and contribution levels of all employees

About you

  • At least 10 years IT and IT service management experience (Mandatory).
  • Experience in managing IT in large scale organisations.
  • Experience in managing IT partners.
  • Recent experience in:
    • Managing an IT group (Mandatory);
    • Managing relationships with Business customers in an IT environment (Mandatory).
