How would you like to take on a senior laboratory role focused on more than just processing results?

This newly created role provides an opportunity for a Senior Laboratory and Water Processing Leader to utilize their experience to refine, improve and innovate our treatment processing capabilities at Central Highlands Regional Council. This is an exciting period of process improvement, where you will be involved in establishing and managing the first accredited laboratory for water and waste water testing and leading the treatment process control in the Central Highlands region.

Your expertise will support the council by:

  • Planning and implementing the laboratory facility and testing improvements
  • Representing the laboratory for NATA accreditation
  • Ongoing monitoring and testing of water ensuring compliance with national standards
  • Assisting with treatment plant process monitoring and development of a process control center

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Bachelors degree in chemistry, biochemistry or biology
  • Excellent knowledge of national standard requirements
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with water and wastewater process control
  • A process improvement mindset
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
