What’s the story?

We are looking for a full-time Territory Manager to join Medibank retail leadership team in Gladstone/Rockhampton & Mackay on a permanent basis. In this role, you will deliver better health to our customers and to Australia through our provision of health services, our health system advocacy, and our work in the community. We have been developing new ways of working to adapt to the effects of COVID-19; our commitment is to ensure the safety and security of employees within our retail stores.

The role:

As a member of a strong and supportive leadership team that puts our customers first, your role involves managing the day to day operations and sales development for Gladstone/Rockhampton & Mackay Retail Centre. By showing heart and empathy, you will contribute towards Medibank’s growth and deliver our purpose “Better Health for Better Lives”.

Your impact:

As the Territory Manager you will be responsible for influencing market share growth through developing strong relationships with employees, Medibank customers, health service providers and corporate partners to contribute to the continues improvement of Medibank’s service scores, employee engagement and quality assurance. With an engaged workforce and culture of are customer centricity at the core, you will provide practical guidance and support to their teams daily building an environment for success.

Your every day:

Not every day at Medibank will be the same and being adaptable is the key to success. Some of the best elements of this role include:

  • Manage day-to-day operations, costs and the interactions our employees have with our members in-person, over the phone and online in the Gladstone/Rockhampton & Mackay.
  • Lead a profitable business through guiding and coaching on best practice sales, retention and customer service.
  • Identify ways to deliver holistic conversations and drive diversified (Travel, Pet and Life) sales.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our store culture, that promotes an empowered, result-driven, quality and team focused environment.
  • Coach and develop your teams to encourage the improvement of sales and service performance and create an inclusive and supportive culture that allows individuals to feel confident to achieve their goals.
  • Proactively seeking new business relationships while managing existing ones.
  • Stay in touch with customer, industry and community trends.

Who are you?

With solid experience in leading sales and service teams, this role will see you drive your team to reach their targets. You have previous experience working in insurance, financial services, call centre or similar retail environment.

  • You have proven experience coaching and providing feedback to others.
  • You effectively manage upcoming and current activities whilst identifying opportunities to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • You are positive, resilient and accountable for your teams’ goals, whilst leading by example.
  • You will put the customer at the centre of your thinking, implementing different strategies to meet their needs.
  • You are comfortable with change and dynamic when dealing with challenges.
  • You understand that technology is constantly changing and the importance of staying at the forefront of it.
