Your day to day

Boasting 166 reimagined luxurious rooms and suits in one of the world's most unique locations, from sophisticated sea-facing escapes to tropical garden sanctuaries, guests will be immersed in a world of unrivalled luxury where contemporary design imaginatively plays with the natural beauty of this iconic island paradise. They will discover an idyllic destination of privacy and pampering, alongside an unforgettable collection of meetings & event spaces, wedding venues, exciting new restaurants and bars, and an enriching new spa experience; the foundation to their InterContinental Life.

Having a knowledgeable and worldly team who can build on the uniqueness of the resort and bring the InterContinental Life alive is the last puzzle piece for the Resort’s delivery of rich and personal experiences. As Room Attendant and a part of the Housekeeping Team, you’ll help us to make sure our rooms, suites, public areas, guest amenities and facilities are always ‘fresh and welcoming’– creating a haven for them to escape and relax in.

So if you know what it takes to exceed guest expectations and have experience within housekeeping or commercial cleaning, this is your opportunity to work in this unique environment. Your day to day will involve;

  • Attending to guest requests.
  • Reporting any maintenance concerns.
  • Check out, service and deep cleaning of rooms in line with brand standards.
  • Assisting the wider Housekeeping Team as needed.
  • Ensuring equipment and pantries are kept clean and maintained.
  • Managing guests itinerary for their stay on the island.
  • Working with a range of chemicals.
What we need from you

With 1 – 2 years of experience within a housekeeping environment in a hotel or resort, as the ideal candidate, you will have good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards. You will need to be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and able to carry, push or lift heavy objects such as linen, beds, bed sheets and vacuum cleaners, and be able to frequently stand up and move about the Resorts grounds. Knowledge of safe working habits, chemical handling and hotel operations is desirable.

You will have the ability to relocate and live on island and be comfortable with the hourly rate of $20.84 in addition to holding the appropriate work rights to work within Australia and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required.
