JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Medical Practitioner Will Be Responsible For

  • Complex duties associated with program and policy development and review.
  • The position ensures appropriate follow-up and clinical examination of clients with screen detected mammographic abnormalities, and provides counselling services in the Assessment Clinic and to the wider community regarding breast problems.
  • The role also provides education and liaison activities with general practitioners, other health workers, and the general public.
  • Ensuring the implementation and application of best practice administrative operations which support the strategic objectives of BSSA, Statewide Services, CALHN and the health reform agenda.
