About the Opportunity

The Senior UI Developer is a key member within the Technology team reporting to the IT Delivery Manager.

You will be responsible for developing a team to build a world class website and provide exceptional technical advice, governance and guidance. You will drive technology and best practice ensuring a focus on continuous improvement. Actively participating in agile ceremonies and mentoring junior UI developers will be part of your day to day. You will be a team builder with purpose and passion who enjoys supporting and developing teams and continuously improves the team’s knowledge and skills.

• Lead junior to mid UI developers
• Utilise and impart your extensive knowledge of and experience with AWS services.
• Enforce code standards, drive best practices and ensure optimal performance of the company website
• Work with the technical leads, to provide a UI centric perspective when solutions are designed so that we move forward with the latest technologies
• Ensure that the codebase remains maintainable and easy to develop
• Support and drive collaboration across teams
• Participate in agile ceremonies

Experience Required

• Extensive knowledge of and experience with AWS services
• Strong understanding of web app design and development (e.g. UI flows and patterns)
• Expert on NodeJS and React Framework
• Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, JSON and XML
• Understanding of Progressive Enhancement to utilize HTML5/CSS3 when available.
• Mobile web development experience, especially Responsive Design
• Have proven ability to learn new applications & technologies with your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A planned thinker who understands business opportunities to create competitive advantage.
