JOB DESCRIPTION
We are NSW’s bulk water supplier, river operator and your one-stop-shop for licensing, water trades and water information. We supply two thirds of the water used in NSW from our 42 dams, rivers and pipelines to regional towns, irrigators, Sydney Water and local water utilities. We also own and operate the largest surface and groundwater monitoring network in the southern hemisphere and build, maintain and operate essential infrastructure.
WaterNSW is seeking an energised, self-motivated Customer System Analyst to manage, develop and optimise the customer and sales team’s use and performance of the critical information systems used to service customers and drive excellence in safety.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Gathering, validating and documenting business requirements
- Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements
- Collaborating with other Business Analysts, Project Leads and IT team to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent
- Validate results by testing each newly designed ICT solution to ensure full functionality, optimum operational performance and system integrity and ensure that all ICT solution defects have been removed prior to delivery
- Apply project methodology to initiate and scope systems improvements, prepare business cases, liaise with the sponsor, collaborate with project delivery team(s), manage handover, acceptance and benefits realisation at completion
- Supporting business transition and helping to establish change
- Certificate IV in Information Technology, or Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Documentation and writing skills - requirement gathering is a key part of the role so the ability to ask the right questions and correctly understand the information is essential. Experience in documentation of business requirements, coordination of IT developers and processes and implementation of system improvements
- Communication skills – The ability to communicate complicated technical or non-technical issues clearly, concisely and without ambiguity both in person and in writing is essential
- Analytical – the ability to decipher system nuances and proven track record to provide out of the box solutions
- Technical knowledge – previous experience with customer facing systems like IVR, CRM & Invoicing and billing systems
