The opportunity

Due to an exciting period of expansion within the business, we currently have an opportunity for a Lean/Agile Lead to join our Transformation Team on a permanent, full-time basis, at our Chifley Square office in Sydney.

As Lean/Agile Lead, you will improve team performance by optimising processes to remove waste, identify bottlenecks and improve delivery throughput through Lean techniques that promote adaptability and flexibility to better serve QBE customers.

The Role Responsibilities Include

  • Coach, mentor, and lead teams to understand the value streams and where Lean processes can be applied to uplift the organization to move to a vertically aligned cross functional model
  • Support work in ways of working to drive a Lean/agile organisational culture by coaching teams to deliver the best they can to QBE customers.
  • Building, developing and executing learning agendas and programs to successfully coach teams and individuals in Lean, process re-engineering, optimising for value creation; improving their ways of working through optimising delivery through lean/agile processes
  • Coach team members as they transition into the new ways of working and beyond to reach their full potential.
  • Assist in the development of workshops, presentations and other events to increase capability uplift in Agile ways of working.
  • Work with 3rd party strategic vendors to ensure alignment to QBE agile framework.
  • Work with the Transformation Office and TS community to establish industry metrics to continuously assess teams’ performance and maturity against vision and develop supporting initiatives to drive for improvements.
  • Contribute to the ways of working work stream on capability assessments, supporting change for colleagues and continuously adapting our framework and metrics as we move to a vertical business aligned workforce
  • Support and mentor team members using the company's continuous performance conversation and development frameworks.

Your story so far
  • Proven Lean Process experience, having led teams to optimise their processes for value creation.
  • A number of years of Lean/Agile coaching experience and results in large, complex organisations; including developing learning agendas to successfully coach teams and individuals in Agility and Lean thinking
  • Demonstrated program delivery experience in an Agile environment
  • Proven results and experience in coaching complex scale change to processes using Lean techniques.
  • Experience of working on transformations where traditionally structured organisations are looking to improve the way they deliver, combined with a strong understanding of capabilities required to deliver large and complex scale Business and IT agile projects
  • Highly effective communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and manage and resolve conflict
  • Proven experience in coaching globally, distributed teams.
