Job Description Summary The Commercial Excellence Specialist role will be responsible for extracting data and translating complex data sets into identifiable and simple business metrics. These metrics should deliver value and drive a tangible customer experience, aligned to business strategy. The role will require strong leadership, an ability to influence, independent and group work, to execute and drive change initiatives. Commercial Excellence Analytics

  • Use a variety of tools (Excel, Business Intelligence, CRM) to derive a set of key business metrics & trending
  • Work with the region Salesforce.com team to define key CRM requirements in line with the commercial excellence methodology.
  • Use Install base data to build and deploy sales and territory management campaigns.
  • Complete analysis of the sales data on Prospecting effectiveness, Market Coverage, Pipeline throughput/yield and cycle time
  • Work with sales teams to create targeting models that will increase sales efficiency and productivity.
  • Aid sales managers in forecasting, opportunity based budgeting (setting of quotas) and optimized deployment of sales resources to increase sales productivity.
  • Utilize salesforce.com to drive Commercial Excellence framework into the business. Create reports and dashboards that drive commercial action.
  • Promote awareness of commercial programs across P&L/region teams and functions and collect voice of the customer feedback in order to drive continuous improvement in the commercial user experience
  • Partner with the APAC analytics teams to streamline the commercial reporting processes to drive data quality, process simplification, and enhanced analytics
  • Use data from various systems to provide meaningful reports and insights to commercial leaders
  • Support the requirements for payment of the commercial teams’ commissions across the business
  • Use voice of customer feedback detail and existing operational metrics to build compelling processes and experiences that customers want to use
  • Identify, plan and implement key projects (such as install base maintenance, customer invoice reconciliation process…) using Agile, Six Sigma and/or other Lean processes and principles
  • Lead & support processes initiatives across business units
  • Own and develop reporting of metrics against which improvement impact can be measured
  • Provide leaders support in using data to demonstrate areas to focus on and improve

Education Requirements

Qualifications and Experience
  • Graduate degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Science, Engineering or IT background
  • Lean six sigma certifications will be highly regarded
  • Experience in Agile methodology

Skills And Experience Required Include
  • Experience working and delivering process improvement initiatives in commercial, sales and or operational environments.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms and data to build business metrics and strategies
  • Experience in a commercial environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - ability to analyse, clean and transform data
  • Experience in using report building tools or ability to learn
  • Experience in coordinating data cleanup projects
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking with the ability to change concepts into compelling commercial arguments
  • Excellent practical knowledge and application of change management tools
  • Proven ability to work successfully managing cross-functional and cross-country team environment
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to manage self and tasks in an appropriate manner
