We are currently looking for a suitable candidate who can dual role within Des’s Adelaide. This is a Full-Time position managing both the Des’s Minibus Call Centre and the Des’s Adelaide IT. The position is available now for the right person.

Reporting directly to the Adelaide General Manager this position will have the following responsibilities and duties within the Des’s Minibus Call Centre:

  • Manage the Call Centre rosters.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the Call Centre and scheduling of work
  • Ensure smart working practices are followed to contribute to ensuring and maintaining a smooth running of the daily operations of the company
  • Monitoring random calls to improve quality, minimise errors and track operator performance
  • Reviewing the performance of staff, identifying training needs and planning training sessions
  • Handling customer complaints or enquiries
  • Offer leadership, guidance and support wherever needed.
  • Liaise with and build good working relationships with the Whyalla Call Centre.
  • Update, develop and make recommendations to Des’s Adelaide’s Websites and social media outlets.

 And be responsible for the following with the Des’s Adelaide IT:

  • Carrying out an IT audit/assessment, performance reviews and cost/benefits analyses.
  • Ensuring all relevant communications, records and data are updated and recorded
  • Planning and implementation of the move of the Des’s Minibus Call Centre software to an updated system.

And assist the Adelaide General Manager as required with the following:

  • Manage the Bus Driver rosters.
  • Ensure a sound, constructive relationship with the Government regulatory and licensing bodies, and other industry bodies through regular communication, consultation and feedback and by adherence to Government requirements regarding reporting and accountability.
  • Facilitate and maintain positive links with key organisation’s and businesses, with the specific aim of establishing strong, strategically beneficial networks.

In essence, to be successful, the new Call Centre & IT Manager will be a strong all-rounder and a team player, willing to get in and do what needs to be done and grow with the role as investments are made to build Des’s Adelaide’s Information Technology capability.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Well-developed personal communication skills
  • Diploma Business Management and/or IT
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT or a management field
  • Up to date with advances in computer technology and how this affects the business environment
  • Effective networking skills and outstanding knowledge in the technical field
  • Excellent problem-solving and people skills with a hands-on approach to all aspects of the job.
  • A track record of developing and executing an IT road map, with a strong ability to lead and influence change.
  • Sound project management competency.
  • Strong business acumen, and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understand general network and telephony principals.
