JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Tennis Coach – Grade 1

JOB TYPE: Casual

HOURS: 10 to 15 hrs coaching per week – more hours will be available for the right candidate

LOCATION: Richmond Tennis Centre, Windsor Street Richmond NSW 2753 and other venues such as local Schools as required.

SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Tennis Director and Business Manager

Inside The Lines Pty Limited (ITL) provides services for players of all ages and ability levels through junior, adult and high-performance coaching programs, corporate tennis, coaching development and junior sport development as well as tennis camps and coaching in Schools.

The role will incorporate a number of responsibilities that will include but are not limited to:

Organising & Operating

Provide on court coaching according to the programs developed by the Tennis Director;
Provide feedback to the Tennis Director regarding the tennis programs; player development; and general enquiries;
Assist the Tennis Director to implement innovative coaching programs focusing on participation within the community at all levels;
Ensure the health and safety of all participants.
Ensure high standards of customer service and quality programs are maintained at all times;
Ensure staff areas are kept clean and tidy at all times;
Assist in providing promotional support to specific ITL services, programs and events as required;
Assist in providing support to other areas of ITL including the Pro Shop as required.
Interactions

Liaise with parents regarding the behaviour and development of their children and respond to any queries;
Provide professional and friendly service to all customers;
Interact with all ITL staff to ensure effective customer service support is delivered.
Controlling / Regulating

Ensure that all Workplace Health & Safety procedures are followed and that the necessary levels of First Aid equipment are available;
Advise Business Manager of any centre operating problems;
Advise Tennis Director and record all customer complaints;
Advise Tennis Director of any damaged equipment.
Essential Position Requirements:

Minimum of a TA Junior Development Coach qualification or equivalent
Current Apply First Aid Qualification
Current and satisfactory Crime Check
Working with Children Check
Experience coaching tennis
Exceptional customer service skills
Well-developed inter-personal skills
Preferred Position Requirements:

(These will enhance the performance in the position)

TA Club Professional qualification or equivalent
Experience of tennis coaching at all levels
