The Opportunity

Positioned within Council’s People & Culture department, you will provide leadership to the HR business partner team in the delivery of accurate customer-focused HR advice, consultancy and support; including:

  • Employee and industrial relations;
  • Strategic HR business partnering;
  • Workforce Planning; and

You will also be responsible for representing Council in our upcoming enterprise agreement negotiations.


Skills & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR Management/Industrial Relations or similar and substantial experience;
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in leading an Enterprise Agreement negotiation particularly within a unionised environment;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing effective processes for the ongoing management of change;
  • Extensive experience in strategic business partnering across the majority of HR functions, particularly employee relations, workforce planning, learning and development and performance management; and
  • Proven record of influencing, leading, developing other employees and building positive relationships with all levels of staff.
