We have a part time (30 hours per week) 9 month secondment opportunity for an Events Advisor. The Events Advisor will work with and support the Consumer Lending Broker Partnerships team to deliver the strategic home lending portfolio of Suncorp internal and external events. This includes delivery of major external Suncorp events for the broker partnerships team to drive increased engagement and commercial outcomes for Suncorp stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively supports Senior Manager, Senior Advisors and Events colleagues across the organisation in coordinating and delivering effective and timely events, roadshows and sponsorship activities in line with business objectives.
  • Support the planning and execution of events for relevant stakeholders including:
    • Banking & Wealth Leadership team (and their teams)
    • Broker Partnerships Team
  • Build and maintain trusted, positive and effective stakeholder relationships
  • Work with communications and engagement advisers and digital content specialists to produce an integrated, multi-channel campaign behind all flagship events and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Work with and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end events using internal facilities and resources
  • Responsible for tracking and managing budgets associated with the event, while identifying cost efficient options
  • Manage a range of events-related communications including RSVPs, correspondence, nametags, mail merge documents, registration lists, invitations etc.
  • Help in driving improvements across all events related areas to further enhance engagement and delivery.
  • Explore new ways, monitor competitor offerings and develop strategies and solutions to successfully drive desired outcomes and keep up with industry trends and adapt work accordingly.
  • Act as an events professional – Support other team members where required

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualified in business related discipline specialising in event management, sponsorship, marketing, communications or relevant area
  • 4 years+ events experience with practical knowledge and understanding of events principles and delivery in a major organisation or publicly listed company
  • Strong understanding of the role of events and sponsorships in achieving marketing and commercial objectives
  • Outstanding Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills
  • Proven ability to deliver successful events in high risk environments
  • Tenacity and ability to execute tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
