About the Role

Our Sydney team is on the hunt for an outstanding Legal Administrative Assistant to join our growing and fast paced defence litigation practice, specialising in Financial Lines Insurance.

In this role you will assist a team of Partners, Senior and Junior Lawyers on legal administrative tasks including: 

  • Opening and closing matters;
  • Conflict searches;
  • Preparing briefs to doctors and counsel;
  • Preparing legal correspondence including letters to clients, court documents & tax invoices;
  • Liaising with clients, medical providers, barristers, courts and other agencies;
  • Drafting and sending monthly bills;
  • Assisting with monthly client reporting;
  • General administrative duties such as diary and file management;
  • Arranging travel;
  • Working on large documents, recording track changes and mark ups;
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.

About You

Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive and able to manage competing priorities. The ability to take initiative, solve problems and demonstrate you care about your work product is also key.

  • 3+ years of legal admin experience within a busy litigation team
  • Insurance experience will be highly regarded but not necessary
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience using programs such as Aderant and WorkSite/FileSite
  • Strong understanding of computer software with an intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • A keen eye for detail
  • A customer-service focus
