St Andrew’s is a 240-bed facility with eleven state of the art operating theatre suites, a 28 bed cardiac unit, an 18 bed critical care unit, emergency department, angiography suite, chest pain unit, an extensive new procedural suite with day of surgery admissions, and arguably, South Australia’s most comprehensive private cancer care facility. With over 30,000 procedures being performed each year we cater for most surgical specialties including, but not limited to, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, vascular, urology, colorectal, orthopaedics, breast and gynaecology and the busiest (da Vinci) Robotics unit in Australia.

We are seeking applications from Scrub/Scout Nurses with at least 5 years' experience in Theatres in a variety of surgical specialties.

Applications are particularly welcomed from those with extensive experience in ENT & Orthopedics.

Relevant post graduate qualifications will attract an additional hourly allowance.

Hours & Rates of Pay:

  • Full-time, Part-time and Casual arrangements will be considered (minimum expected 60 hours/fortnight)
  • Predominantly Monday to Friday work, along with occasional weekend standby and on call
  • Rate of Pay will be determined by years of experince according to St Andrew’s Hospital Inc., Nursing Employees and ANMF Enterprise Agreement 2018 (between $32.88 - $45.21 base rate).

You will be responsible for undertaking nursing activities within the Theatre Suite in a safe, competent and professional manner. Full duties can be found here. Our ideal candidates will have significant experience (minimum 3 years) as a scrub nurse within their chosen specialty, a strong commitment to patient safety and person centered care.
