Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our Community Paediatrics team at Marrickville Community Health Centre!

Do you have current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA), with experience and / or interest in pursuing further training in clinical research?

Professor John Eastwood is a chief investigator on the NHMRC Centres of Research Excellence (CRE) in Childhood Adversity and Mental Health initiative, assisted by his research team within the Department of Community Paediatrics in the SLHD. Nationally, the CRE is led by Professor Harriet Hiscock from the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MRCI) in Melbourne. Marrickville Community Health Centre is one of the demonstration sites in which intervention and evaluation activities associated with this CRE will be conducted. A Clinical Research Registered Nurse is required to provide research assistance for the local activities associated with this CRE within the Sydney Local Health District. This team member will contribute to the development and local implementation of a community based strategy to address mental and physical health morbidity experienced by children living in adversity and exposed to 'adverse childhood experiences,' in line with strategic directions.They will assist with operational aspects of the project, developmental of stakeholder relationships, and with regulatory aspects such as ethical approvals. 

The preferred applicant will have a demonstrated interest in Child and Family nursing, and in health-related research.

To Be Considered For This Role You Must Have: 

Ability to work a Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm roster.
