The Senior Research Officer performs and oversees a range of significant and complex research activities that play a critical role in supporting the achievement of the immuno-oncology research program outcomes. This includes managing, overseeing and undertaking analysis of count-based next-generation sequencing data across a variety of applications, development of graphical/interactive tools to assist with data analysis, generation of complex figures, providing statistical expertise to guide and aid the design of complex experiments, and developing internal resources for machine learning applications, while ensuring a compliant and safe research environment.

To be appointable to this role you must have demonstrated extensive knowledge and a track record in developing mathematical and computational methods to allow the analysis of complex biological data sets involving cancer samples, ideally including: whole exome/genome sequencing, RNA sequencing (bulk and single-cell), CRISPR/Cas9 screening, excellent writing and data visualisation skills with experience in drafting and editing reports, experience in the application of machine-learning methods to the analysis of cancer data and experience analysing sequencing data from complex experimental designs (e.g. patient-derived xenograft data).

This role is a part-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
