Key Account Manager - Vegetables

Here is a terrific opportunity for a candidate looking to start and/or kick-start their career with an established company. Our client is known for being innovative and for providing quality vegetable produce that is sold directly to export and domestic customers. This newly created role will work closely with an experienced senior management team and will focus on maintaining existing and developing new relationships with domestic and overseas importers/retailers. The role will be primarily focussed on driving the marketing and customer management functions of the export process, but will also interact internally with the logistics associated from farm gate to customer. Like any relationship based role, attitude, energy and skills to work independently will be critical to your success. Candidates with an interest and or experience in horticulture will be highly regarded, as will having an agribusiness background. An ability to relate and communicate with overseas buyers from a range of countries and understand key cultural differences is highly important to be successful in the role. Whilst candidates with experience in horticultural related export roles are encouraged to apply, this role would suit a younger candidate with a relevant agribusiness qualifications or industry experience who is looking to be mentored and developed.
